We recognise the 95 Stop Tour as a wonderful fundraising campaign and we are looking forward to playing our part in making the 2018 version the best tour yet. It’s a great opportunity to get the story of Cliona’s out there to a wider audience and of course it is a significant generator of much needed funds for the charities involved.
I was impressed by the energy and drive at the first meeting and I am excited to be working with Limerick’s Live95FM and the other charity partners, CARI, and the Children’s Ark/ Neonatal unit of the University Hospital Limerick.”

Please come out again this year and have some fun and craic along with helping out four worthy causes!”

“The 95 stop tour over the last few years collected the much-needed additional funds for the Children's Ark at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) and Neonatal Unit at University Maternity Hospital Limerick (UMHL). We are indebted to the kind-hearted people of Limerick and the wider Mid-West for their generous support over the years and we hope that this year we will see more local events and community activities that contributes to the 95 stop tour. Such funds generated will be spent locally to help and support the sick babies and children of this region through the purchase of high-tech equipment with appropriate staff training and research as well as to improve the child-friendly facilities in hospitals.”
This year’s tour will take place week commencing September 17th, with the Live 95FM 95 Stop Tour Team out in force across Limerick City and County, however there will many fundraising events throughout the summer and beyond.

Cliona’s is a national charity that helps families cope with caring for a seriously sick child. The Foundation provides financial assistance directly to the families of children with life-limiting or chronic complex care needs across Ireland to help with the non-medical costs related to caring for their child.
Cliona’s Foundation is a company limited by guarantee not having a share capital. The charity achieved Triple Lock governance status in 2017.
Non-medical costs, particularly for parents from outside Dublin (where most of the hospitals are) who have to travel to visit their child in hospital can be as much as €145 a day. It is estimated that it costs an additional €10,000 per annum to care for a child with a life limiting condition. Cliona’s is the only charity in Ireland that provides nationwide financial assistance to help families with the non-medical costs of caring for their child.
Cliona’s has provided financial assistance to over 500 families across 29 counties in Ireland since 2007 and has helped over 70 families in Limerick City & County. One hundred and one families were assisted in 2017.
CARI Limerick provide a professional, child centred therapy and counselling service to children, families, and groups who have been affected by the sexual abuse of children. Without the support of Live 95FM’s 95 Stop Tour each year, this service would not exist in Limerick.
