Band Bio: THE SKALPS
We were never supposed to become a band, we were a group of musicians brought together by Tommy Byrne or should I say stolen from other bands hence the name (The Skalps).
The idea was to record a 4 track Ep then go our separate ways, but fate jumped in and as we played and jammed together, we found a nice little groove that was fun and inspiring,
The seed was sown. As we progressed, we added more members to the line-up and the band that was never supposed to be took on a life of its own.
We released our Ep entitled The Plastic fantastic Ep on the 26/7/2017 on our own label Nostrum109 Records and are now in the process of recording our first album.
Our biggest gig to – date Electric Picnic 2019
“This song will blow your mind and the lyrics really have a deep meaning and will have an impact for all Superhero Survivors.” said Tommy Byrne, lead singer of the Skalps. The lyrics are a testament to all survivors of childhood trauma who have come out the other side. “We are all done with the run, done with hide, done with locking ourselves inside” “Taking back control of our life again”. This song is the anthem of all our childhoods #weareallinthistogether.
