While young people are attending CARI, a unique and important service is offered through parallel support services for parents/carers.
Parental support is not therapy, however it is a vital service offered to parents to support both them, and their children. These parental sessions run at the same time as the child’s therapy session.
Parental sessions offer a space for parents to discuss their fears and worries about their child. The therapist will explore all issues with the parents helping them to develop a language and a skill set to use to support their child in everyday life.
