SATU (Sexual Assault Treatment Unit)
There are six SATUs in Ireland - Cork SATU; Donegal SATU; Dublin SATU; Galway SATU; Mullingar SATU; Mid-West SATU; Waterford SATU. They provide specialist care for women and men aged fourteen years and over who have recently been sexually assaulted or raped. If you are under 18 years of age you must have a parent or legal guardian with you. This is because they will have to give their permission for a forensic clinical examination.
Child and Adolescent Sexual Assault Treatment Services (CASATS)
The CASATS Galway provides an integrated forensic medical service for children (under 14) both male and female, who are victims of rape or sexual assault or suspected child sexual abuse. The service also accommodates adolescents 14-18 years who allege historical child sexual abuse (more than 7 days previously). The service operates 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year for patients who report an assault to the Gardaí or Social Services. The purpose of the Unit is to provide a confidential, co-ordinated service for child and adolescent victims of rape and sexual assault or sexual abuse within the West and Mid-Western Regions.

Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC)
Dublin Rape Crisis Centre offers a wide range of services to women and men who are affected by rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment or childhood sexual abuse. The services include a national 24-hour helpline, one to one counselling, court accompaniment, outreach services, training, awareness raising and lobbying.
Rape Crisis Network Ireland (RCNI)
Rape Crisis Network Ireland (RCNI) is a specialist information and resource centre on rape and all forms of sexual violence. RCNI are the representative, umbrella body for our member Rape Crisis Centres who provide free advice, counselling and support for survivors of sexual abuse. RCNI presents all aspects of sexual violence with information for women, men, survivors, and supporters with contact details for all rape crisis centres in Ireland.
RapeCrisisHelp.ie is designed to provide vital information on sexual assault support services in a clear, easy-to-navigate manner to those who may be urgently seeking it. It includes advice for those who may be feeling threatened, may have experienced sexual violence in the past, or who are seeking help or advice on behalf of others as well as information on child protection.
