Watersports Day In Aid Of CARI Sunday 21st August

WaterSports Day on Glassilaun Beach, Renvyle, Co. Galway is celebrating 21 years of hosting this great day out!  This year it will be held on Sunday August 21st commencing at 1pm

Brainchild of Mary Mannix Coyne and Patricia Keane, it started in 1995 and has been going ever since.  Numerous volunteers came on board and some have been on the WaterSports Day Team for many years now.  To date, well over €55,000 has been raised towards helping abused children.

A wonderful day out for all ages with Boat Rides, Pony Rides, Scuba diving, Kayaking, Children’s Races, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle & Slide, Barbeque/Teas/ Drinks/Sweets/Ice Cream – and much, much more! This year we may have one or two surprises in store. A great cause, a great day with over 50 volunteers making it the success it is!

Watch out for 1,000 posters which are going up now all over Connemara and into parts of Mayo.  These posters are coloured by schoolchildren from over 40 Primary Schools and a big thank you to all concerned.

1 in 5 children in Ireland are affected by child sexual abuse (CSA) in Ireland.

We hope you will join us on Sunday, August 21st to participate in this wonderful day out and show your support for children.  See you there!

More help ALWAYS WELCOME!
Watersports Day Team are currently looking for adults or children to take over the puppet show, also a fortune teller if anyone out there would like to give it a go!
